If you're interested in applying as an artist in either the Doujinshi Market or Artist Alley, check back to this site or our social media for announcements on when applications open!
Doujinshi is the japanese word for "self published work"; though in practice, it generally refers to
self published (and often home printed!) comics. Generally, these doujin can be anywhere from a few
pages to a few hundred pages long.
Manga Ichiba, at Fanime 2026, was a huge inspiration for future doujinshi markets to exist in
western anime conventions! Before Manga Ichiba showed us it was possible, most western artists
didn't create doujin to sell at artist alleys very often; creating a book full of comic pages takes
a considerable amount of work, especially compared to just drawing a single page. So the artists
involved came at it with a huge love of the game, and a passion for whatever their doujin contained.
As a result, the event was a huge success, and now we hope to bring the same creative energy to the
pacific northwest!
In addition to a Doujinshi Market, we also plan to have an Artist Alley like other conventions you
know and love. So if comics aren't really your deal (I know many of you prefer the anime to the
manga, after all), you'll still have access to other forms of art here.
Yaoi Bingo is a classic event run at multiple anime conventions around the world, originating at Yaoi Con (may he rest in peace) in San Francisco, California. Imagine Bingo being played by grandmas in a nursing home, but instead of grandmas its fujin, and instead of a nursing home its an anime convention panel room full of half naked men and lots of prizes! If you get Bingo, you come on stage and choose your favorite Bishounen (the panelists running the event) to spank, then walk off stage with a prize from the prize table. More detailed information on this event is coming soon!
